John Hild

I grew up in Michigan and have been slowly migrating west working as a carpenter for the past 10+ years; mostly in custom cabinetry. My interest in fine woodworking comes from a desire to work with my hands and build high quality items that improve people’s lives. Reading James Krenov’s books had a profound effect on how I relate to doing craft work, and attending the Krenov School has been an interest of mine for the past few years. In the 9 month program I hope to get more experience with hand tools and experiment with techniques I haven’t practiced before.
